Kirstie Wulf
Hemp building advocate and sustainable building designer. Kirstie is the principal at Shelter Building Design a business that specialises in the design, documentation and approval of high performance buildings using natural building materials, in particular Hemp. She has been involved in the design and construction of over 15 hemp homes. Over 10 years ago Kirstie started the Hemp Building Australia Facebook page to link up and share information to support the growth of the Hemp Building industry. This page now has over 10,000 members worldwide, providing a place for the discussion of hemp building issues. In 2023, together with building designer Jeremy Thomas, she set up the Australian Hemp Building Directory, as searchable database of suppliers, builders, contractors, designers and consultants in the hemp building industry. The Directory also produces a monthly newsletter promoting Hemp Building in Australia.
