Ken Dods

Kenneth Dods is the principal and owner of SAGE Consultancy, as an experienced Food Scientist and Research Coordinator he has over 35 years of Food research and development with over 65 peer reviewed publications in Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries research. He specialises in development and application of scientific principles and chemistry to assist business development and growth. As an ISO and GLP accredited and NATA certified analyst, he has led and contributed to multiple research team outcomes as a compositional chemistry expert and project manager for over 35 years, with his teams achieving numerous national and international awards for project outcomes. Current hemp feed research for ruminants is world leading in establishing safety limits and nutritional guidelines for ruminant hemp feed use in Australia. As the Principal Industry Research lead for the recently funded CRC-P Healing Australian Carbon Wounds Using Hemp Plantation and Construction 2023-2026 current research interests include advancing industry knowledge and management using Natural Capital Accounting, Compositional Chemistry and TQM principles for Industrial Hemp Fibre variety use nationally on farm and post farm gate to produce manufactured composite products. This includes considerations of product quality in the supply chain and carbon sequestration characteristics. This work is complemented by theme leader responsibilities for 5 projects in the AgriFutures 5-year Australian Industrial Hemp Program of Research (AIHPR) under theme 3 Industrial hemp Product (Seed and Fibre).
