I am a research scientist interested in the potential of bio-based building materials in remediating and decarbonising our built environment. My PhD focuses on nature based solutions and their application within an urban environment. This ranges from green-infrastructure assisting in the phytoremediation of air quality to the use of hemp-based concrete in improving the insulative performance of building envelopes - all the while reducing the carbon footprint of these essential services.
