This poster delves into the investigation of innovative applications of hemp-based building products, focusing on their performance across acoustic insulation, thermal efficiency, fire performance and mechanical performance. Recognising hemp as a sustainable and versatile resource, the proposed study seeks to fill existing knowledge gaps and provide actionable insights for practitioners in Australia. The study examines the acoustic properties of hemp-derived materials, showcasing their effectiveness in reducing noise transmission and improving sound quality within built environments. Furthermore, this study explores the thermal insulation capabilities of hemp products, fire performance and mechanical performance highlighting their capacity to regulate temperatures, load bearing capacities, enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints.
