The NSW Industrial Hemp Variety Trial site in NSW is co-funded byAgriFutures Australia with research activities delivered by the University of Sydney. The trials were undertaken at Narrabri using hemp seed provided by several organisations from around the world. Varieties were selected based on reported agronomic parameters from Australia and similar regions internationally including plant height at maturity, dry matter production, grain yield and quality. Nine industrial hemp varieties were grown in 2023, and 12 varieties in 2024. Our intention is to present the results of the 2024 trials, which are being harvested between now and the conference date. There are very significant differences amongst the varieties.
